Bayern Munich and Germany sensation Lennart Karl has suffered a fresh injury during national team training, raising doubts over his availability for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed on Friday that the 18-year-old picked up the knock during a training session and was immediately taken to hospital for scans.

The coach admitted the situation “doesn’t look good” as the team awaits further medical updates.
“It doesn’t look good. He went to the hospital and will have scans. We have to wait for the diagnosis and see if he can play at the World Cup or if we have to call up a replacement,” Nagelsmann told reporters.
Karl has enjoyed a breakthrough season with Bayern Munichestablishing himself as one of Europe’s brightest young talents and earning a place in the senior Germany squad.
However, his World Cup hopes are now in serious doubt following this latest setback.
