Borussia Dortmund turn down Fenerbahce’s offer for Guirassy

Borussia Dortmund have moved to shut down speculation over Serhou Guirassy’s future, with managing director Lars Ricken insisting the striker is not close to leaving the club.

The Bundesliga side remain determined to keep hold of their key forward heading into the new season, despite increasing noise linking him with a move to Fenerbahce.

Ricken quickly dismissed reports suggesting an imminent departure, stressing Dortmund’s stance has not changed.

“We have no offer for Serhou. We also have no intention of letting him go. He has impressively proven his value for Borussia Dortmund over the past two seasons.”

Interest from the Turkish giants has intensified in recent weeks, with Fenerbahce openly expressing their desire to sign the striker.

However, Dortmund’s hierarchy at Signal Iduna Park are said to be unmoved by the public pursuit.

Much of the speculation has been driven by Fenerbahce’s internal politics, with presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim claiming he would target Guirassy if elected.
