Some Chelsea fans are worried about Cole Palmer after the 3-1 win over Real Sociedad in their final pre-season game. They believe that the Englishman’s form has been subpar since last summer.
Xabi Alonso took charge of his first match at Stamford Bridge today, August 15, and led his team to a win. The Blues took the lead in the first half through Morgan Rogers, who needed just 11 minutes in his first match for the club to get on the scoresheet.

The Spanish side managed to pull level late in the first half, with Jon Mikel Aramburu’s volley from outside the box beating Robert Sanchez at the near post. The second half saw the Blues take full control and ease to a win.
Joao Pedro continued his fine form in pre-season, scoring twice and taking his tally to seven goals in five matches. The Brazilian headed home a Reece James cross early, before slotting in a second after Malo Gusto put him through on goal.
While Chelsea dominated the game and got a win in their final match of the pre-season, some fans are worried about Palmer’s form and posted:

Cole Palmer comments on playing with Morgan Rogers at Chelsea
Cole Palmer recalled Morgan Rogers telling him about joining Chelsea, saying he initially missed the call from his best friend. He admitted that the news came as a surprise and said:
“He messaged me saying ‘where are you?’ and he was with England, so I didn’t know why he was thinking about where I was. I got a missed call and he messaged me straight away that I had five minutes to ring him back. I’m thinking, ‘he must need to tell me something’. I went downstairs and I rang him. He told me he was coming, but I didn’t believe him at first. He told me and I was gassed.”
Talking about their celebration, Palmer admitted that Rogers did it first, but it became famous because of him and said:
“I can’t remember how it came about, we were speaking about it and he told me to do it. He did it first. He played midweek, then we played Luton on the Saturday and I told him I was going to do it. I bet he wishes I didn’t do it now! He did it first, but I made it famous! That’s the truth. He says that as well!”
