Before Morgan Rogers joined Chelsea, Cole Palmer had clearly built up his strongest friendship with Tosin Adarabioyo, although the latter is wanted by one of the Premier League’s new sides.
Xabi Alonso has given plenty of different defenders opportunities to impress him during pre-season, with Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill stepping up.
The signing of Maxence Lacroix will have put the rest of the squad on notice, with the Frenchman expected to be a starter for the new Premier League season.
Who’s your DREAM Enzo Fernandez replacement if the Argentine leaves Chelsea? 🤩
We want to know who and WHY?
This has put a number of clubs on notice to possibly sign Tosin from Stamford Bridge, including some of Chelsea’s fellow Premier League sides.
As per Miguel Delaney, Hull City have interest in the Blues defender, as they try and make some signings which will help them stay in the Premier League.

He said: “Regardless of whether Fernandez leaves or not, a deal for Myles Lewis-Skelly to Chelsea is considered highly unlikely. They are generally happy with their squad, and will only now move in the event of “reactions” to the market. Hull City have some interest in Tosin Adarabioyo, but he wants to stay.”
Up until this summer, Tosin was Chelsea’s most experienced outfield player in the squad, playing a key role in the leadership group in the dressing room.
Chelsea risking going backwards with Tosin sale
Even though the club have signed Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson to help address this, selling Tosin would pose questions as to whether Chelsea are going backwards in this department.
The Blues would also be parting ways with one of Palmer’s best friends, with it unclear what impact that will have on his individual game.
Chelsea will hope that the signing of Rogers, who Palmer played alongside when at the Manchester City academy, will be a suitable replacement if he is in need of a best friend.
The Blues have already said goodbye to Trevoh Chalobah with his move to Como, while Benoit Badiashile is set to feature for Napoli after completing a loan deal to join them.
