Chelsea fans will be pleased to know that Sky Sports’ supercomputer has backed them to finish much higher than 10th place this upcoming season!

In the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, Chelsea finished 10th on the dot, which meant they missed out on European qualification.

Since then, the Blues have brought in the likes of Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix and Pep Chavarria to improve their squad.

On Wednesday, Chelsea confirmed the signing of Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano, further strengthening their backline.

Ultimately, Chelsea have made enough improvements to their squad to avoid a repeat of last season, which Sky Sports’ supercomputer is expecting. It has predicted Xabi Alonso’s side to finish in fifth place on roughly 72 points, which could be enough to secure Champions League qualification.

Chelsea will be hoping to make a positive start to the campaign when they take on Fulham in a west London derby later this month.

After that, they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge in Alonso’s first league game at home.

The aim for him will be to get Chelsea back into the Champions League, which Sky Sports’ supercomputer thinks is possible, as long as fifth place guarantees a spot in Europe’s elite competition again like in the previous two campaigns.
