Brazil kick off their tournament with a showdown against Morocco on Saturday, and Carlo Ancelotti will be looking towards Vinicius to inspire them to victory.

The Real Madrid superstar has the capacity to produce moments of brilliance, and following a season of 36 goal involvements in 53 appearances for Los Blancos, the 25-year-old is ready to flourish on the biggest stage.

Vinicius is Brazil’s poster boy, taking on the responsibility from the legendary Neymar, who is set to miss the entire group stage with a grade two calf injury.

And ahead of their clash at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the Brazilian was quick to praise manager Carlo Ancelotti for giving him “the biggest peace of mind”.

“Playing under Carlo Ancelotti gives me the BIGGEST peace of mind,” Vinicius said.

“He gives me a lot of freedom and confidence to do everything I’ve already done for the NT and for Real Madrid”.

A mouth-watering battle will take centre stage when Vinicius comes up against PSG star Achraf Hakimi, arguably the world’s best right back.
