It was a disappointing season for both Salah and his club, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in his 27 Premier League games as Liverpool finished fifth.

There have been plenty of rumours about where he will be playing next season, with links to Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the MLS the loudest.

Egypt teammate Ahmed El-Shenawy even suggested that he could yet stay at Liverpool now that Arne Slot is no longer at the club.

His agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, is clearly frustrated by the constant rumours, taking to X, formally known as Twitter to vent.

“Mohamed is doing perfectly fine and neither he nor I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people not involved in them,” he wrote.

“Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite response but that’s about it.”
