Elliot Anderson could become the most expensive Premier League signing of all time if he seals his big-money switch to Manchester City.

Nottingham Forest have already rejected two offers for the aggressive midfielder, the latest worth an initial £106 million plus £15m in performance-related bonuses.

Forest are looking for a total of £130m, including £110m upfront and a further 20m in bonuses. That would make Anderson the third-most expensive player of all time after Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, depending on historical exchange rates.

According to the Daily Mailalthough there appears to be a valuation gap between the two clubs, the England international will seal his dream switch to the Etihad Stadium later this month, “barring significant late developments”.

A potential £130m fee for Anderson would make him the most expensive British transfer in history, following Alexander Isak’s £125m move to Liverpool last summer.

While many disagree with that eye-watering price, the 23-year-old has become one of Europe’s best midfielders and is deserving of a switch to Man City.

The Forest sensation is set to showcase his incredible talents on the biggest stage of them all, as England prepare to get their World Cup campaign underway against Croatia on June 17.
