Former Chelsea winger Damien Duff has joined Keith Andrews’ Brentford staff as an assistant manager.

The 47-year-old has been out of work since leaving Shelbourne, whom he led to the League of Ireland Premier Division title in 2024.

As a player, Duff spent three years at Chelseawinning two Premier League titles, one League Cup, and a Community Shield.

Brentford have now confirmed the former winger has joined Andrews’ coaching staff as an assistant manager ahead of the 2026-27 season.

“I’ve known Damien for a long time,” head coach Keith Andrews told the club’s website.

“I’ve seen him up close throughout his coaching journey. We’ve been on courses together and worked together as coaches with the Republic of Ireland national team.

“Damien will bring experience, presence and a real level of detail to our coaching department. He will add to the great group we already have and I’m very pleased that he is joining us.”
