Wolves are set for Raul Jimenez’s return, with a deal agreed and a medical completed, according to ExpressAndStar.com. He will sign a two-year deal with an option of a third as his Fulham contract expires.
Signed on loan in 2018, he headed a debut equaliser against Everton and matched Steven Fletcher’s club Premier League season record of 12 by March. He finished with 17 in 44, scored in the FA Cup wins en route to Wembley and celebrated with a Sin Cara mask before Watford’s 3-2 extra-time comeback, with Wolves sealing a £30 million permanent move days earlier.
Wolves finished seventh again and reached the Europa League quarter-finals, losing to eventual winners Sevilla. He netted in the 3-2 comeback against Manchester City on 27 December 2019 and ended the season with 27 goals from 55 games, collecting both supporters’ and players’ awards.
