Real Madrid have officially announced the arrival of Jose Mourinho, who has signed on until 2029 and will officially start on July 13th, when Los Blancos’ pre-season begins.
As had already been reported in recent days, Real Madrid paid the €15 million release clause to Benfica and moved forward with the signing of Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach, 63, returns to the Santiago Bernabeu after a previous three-season spell at the club.
For now, both parties are looking to repeat the experience, as Mourinho has signed a contract with Real Madrid for exactly three seasons.
The ‘Special One’ left Benfica without winning any titles and after failing to qualify for the Champions League, finishing third in Liga Portugal.
Despite the results, Mourinho arrives at Real Madrid in a scenario similar to the one he found at Benfica. The Portuguese coach was a key figure in Florentino Perez’s election campaign in recent weeks, even appearing in a campaign video -reportedly created using Artificial Intelligence – by the recently elected president.
Mourinho ends this second spell at Benfica with a record of 45 games, 27 wins, 10 draws, and 8 losses.
