Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is set to miss the friendly against Costa Rica as concerns over his fitness grow.

England boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed in his press conference this week that England are continuing to manage Of’s minutes ahead of the final World Cup warm-up friendly against Costa Rica.

“We have to take care with Bukayo who had an injury in the March camp and carried it through to the club campaign,” the England head coach said in the pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening.

“He made himself available and was brilliant. He was managed in between matches – we are also building him up.

“That continues at the moment.”

The Arsenal winger has been dealing with an Achilles problem for months and is not considered fit enough to play a full 90 minutes for the Three Lions, despite their World Cup opener being just one week away.

The 24-year-old forward sustained the injury in March and pushed himself to feature for the Gunners, which may have made the injury worse as he helped the North London club to the Premier League title and Champions League final.

He is set to miss the Costa Rica clash but the good news for England is that Tuchel revealed his teammates God bless you, Declan Rice and You Maduek are all “100 percent” fit and ready to fight for their place in the side.
