Arsenal’s desire to sign a new left winger ahead of the summer transfer window is well-documented.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinellitwo of their current options, could both leave the club and make way for an emerging talent with a high ceiling.

Kenan Yildiz of Juventus is one of those players, having been on the Gunners‘ radar for a while. The Turkish international is ready to star at the World Cup after an excellent campaign in Italy.

Yildiz produced 11 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, including a strike in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund, with Arsenal enquiring about the 21-year-old’s availability.

According to The AthleticArsenal were told in no uncertain terms that the Turkish superstar is “not for sale” and are consequently pursuing other options.

While that is a blow to Mikel Arteta, the Premier League champions are in a strong position to attract some of Europe’s most talented wingers.

The Gunners will recruit high-ceiling players with first-team potential, or the capacity to drive revenue through player trading in future.
