It’s been reported that Squirrel has a €12 million release clause in his Hertha contract and is likely to move on to bigger things this summer.
According to Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, that move won’t be to Anfield despite Liverpool’s efforts to charm him.
Eichhorn is instead looking to remain in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig hopeful of getting a deal done.
Liverpool’s offer was higher than the others, but he wouldn’t be able to complete his move until he turns 18 due to registration rules.
