The Austrian masterminded an FA Cup final victory over Manchester City in 2025, before winning the Community Shield and Europa Conference League in the following season.

The 51-year-old’s stock is at an all-time high after guiding Palace into the Europa League, and he could now land the job at AC Milan.

Having emerged as one of the top contenders to succeed Allegri in the dugout, Glasner has prioritised a move to the Italian giants after attending a six-hour meeting with the club last week.

Feyenoord did want the Palace boss to replace Robin van Persie after he was sacked on Sunday, following just 16 months. However, it appears Milan are in the driving seat, and Glasner has given them the green light.

AC Milan suffered through a campaign that ended trophyless last term, while also finishing fifth in Serie A and 17 points behind champions Inter Milan.
