Man United have reportedly opened talks with West Ham over a potential deal for midfield sensation Mateus Fernandes.
The 21-year-old was a rare bright spark as West Ham were relegated on the final day, starting 35 of his 36 Premier League games and popping up with three goals and four assists.

As a result, Fernandes is one of European football’s hottest commodities with West Ham needing to raise £150 million from player sales this summer.
According to Roundtable, Man United have now reached out to West Ham in order to explore the financials over a potential deal.
It’s understood that new permanent manager Michael Carrick is pushing to get the deal done as part of United’s midfield overhaul.
