Chelsea are hoping to sell Man City transfer target Pedro Neto for “close to £100m”, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims the Blues are seeking to almost double what they paid Wolves for the Portuguese international a couple of years ago.
Quite understandably, fans on X are aghast at Neto’s valuation, which they believe is totally disproportionate to his ability:

Why are Chelsea demanding so much?
There are a couple of factors that explain Neto’s asking price. Firstly, Al-Hilal have entered the race, alongside City and Tottenham.
It is likely that the Blues see it as an opportunity to exploit the situation with a cash-rich Saudi Pro League side now involved.
The close proximity of the transfer deadline may also be a factor, although there is no indication that Xabi Alonso’s side would look to replace Neto if he is offloaded before the window closes.

Why is Neto a Man City target?
Fabrizio Romano confirmed last week that the Cityzens have contacted the 26-year-old’s agent, and it is more than likely that the interest stems from head coach Enzo Maresca, who worked with the player during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Any approach for a winger is, though, dependent on Savinho leaving first. The Brazilian is said to be pushing for a move to Tottenham, but despite weeks of talks, no agreement has been reached on the transfer fee.
If Savinho does end up staying at the Etihad Stadium, you would not expect another wide player to be brought in before September 1st.
