Fiorentina announced this Monday the signing of Fabio Grosso as the head coach of the senior team. The Italian manager has signed a contract valid until June 30, 2028.
Born in Rome on November 28, 1977, Grosso began his coaching career in 2013 in the Juventus youth ranks. He made his debut as a head coach in 2017 with Bari, in Serie B.

Throughout his career, he has managed teams such as Lyon, Frosinone, and Sassuolo. The former Italian international has achieved two promotions from Serie B to Serie A and arrives in Florence after leading Sassuolo to 11th place in the Italian league, in the season marking their return to the top flight.
In a statement, the president of FiorentinaGiuseppe Commisso, expressed his satisfaction with the choice: “Fabio is not just a World Cup champion. He is a coach who has built his career through hard work, ideas, and results, showing the ability to lead teams and face major challenges. We want to open a new chapter with energy, ambition, and responsibility. We believe he has the personality, method, and enthusiasm to help build a stronger and more competitive Fiorentina.”
