Etta Eyong ‘prioritising’ Premier League transfer

Etta Eyong scored seven The League goals last season with a host of Premier League teams having monitored his development.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United were all linked with the Cameroonian last season, following a strong start to the 2025/26 season.

Etta Eyong scored six times in the opening nine games of the The League season, but managed only one in 26 to conclude the campaign, as Levante survived relegation on goal difference.

Despite that downturn, interest remains high, with journalist Ben Jacobs claiming two teams in England have made an approach.

The 22-year-old is ready to snub interest from Turkey in favour of a move to the Premier Leaguehaving also rejected the advances of CSKA Moscow in January. Levante accepted a €30m offer from the Russian side in the winter window, but the forward declined the move.

In November, Etta Eyong expressed his interest in a Premier League move and named Chelsea as his club of choice.

“I think I have the quality to thrive in the Premier League and that my style is well suited to English football. I am physically strong and can link up play. I love watching Premier League matches.

“My favourite period is the Boxing Day games. You can see the players give everything – 200 percent! What I love about the Premier League is that every game feels important. But for now my focus is just on Levante and I am ignoring all other news.

“Chelsea was the English team I probably watched the most growing up because of Drogba, and Eto’o later on. Chelsea have often signed incredible African players. There are so many big clubs in England, but as for (joining) Chelseawhy not? It would be a dream for me to play for Chelsea”
